Starting with a silver disk, I added the rim, and then drilled out and filed down the open areas, freehand. I bent out the pins, inserted the ruby, and bent them back.

ring with honey opal

I took a leaf and applied wax to one side, shaped it into a ring with the leaf on the outer surface.

cast resin sphere

Last surviving example from a series of cast shapes having inclusions of various iridescent pigments. Some of these also contained clusters of tiny neon lights that I made strobe at different frequencies to simulate firelight.
